The AMD 570X is a chipset released in 2007 for Socket AM2 processors. It is essentially the RD550 chipset renamed and supports AMD's CrossFire multi-GPU technology with two PCIe x16 slots that operate at x8 when CrossFire is enabled. The chipset provides 20 PCIe lanes (PCIe 1.0a), four SATA III ports, and ten USB 2.0 ports. It supports up to 8 GB of DDR2-800 memory in a dual-channel configuration. CPU overclocking is supported. The 570X was used in motherboards for the AMD platform.
