The AMD-750 chipset, part of the Irongate family, was released in 1999 for AMD Athlon processors on Slot A and Socket A.

The AMD-750 chipset, also known as Irongate, was introduced in 1999 to support AMD's Athlon processor. It is compatible with both Slot A and Socket A sockets. The chipset supports SDRAM memory. Early revisions had issues with AGP 2×, often limiting support to AGP 1×. This was later addressed with a 'super bypass' memory access adjustment.
