Intel 440EX

The Intel 440EX is a chipset designed for Intel's Slot 1 platform, supporting Pentium II and Pentium III processors. It was released in April 1998 as a lower-cost alternative to the 440BX chipset. The 440EX supports up to 256 MB of memory, using either EDO or SDRAM modules. It does not support ECC memory. The chipset is intended for use with Slot 1 motherboards and is compatible with Pentium II and early Pentium III CPUs.
