The Intel 440LX is a chipset designed for Intel's Slot 1 platform, supporting Pentium II and early Pentium III processors. It was released on August 25, 1997, succeeding the Intel 430TX and preceding the Intel 440BX. Manufactured on a 350 nm process, it supports FPM, EDO, and SDRAM memory types with a maximum capacity of 1 GB over a single memory channel. ECC memory is supported.
