Intel 82451GX

The Intel 82451GX is a memory controller hub for the Pentium Pro/II/III platforms, released in November 1995.

The Intel 82451GX is part of the 82450GX chipset family, which includes the 82452GX, 82453GX, and 82454GX. It supports Socket 8 processors and uses FPM memory with a maximum capacity of 8 GB, including ECC support. The chipset features a 60/66 MHz front-side bus and supports symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) for up to four processors. It uses a South Bridge such as the SIO.A for ISA or PCEB/ESC for EISA, and provides PCI 2.0 support but no AGP support.
