The Intel 82454GX is a memory controller hub (MCH) part of the Intel 450GX chipset, codenamed Orion, released in November 1995. It is designed for the Pentium Pro processor using Socket 8. The chipset supports up to 4-way symmetric multiprocessing (SMP). Fabricated on a 150 nm process, the 82454GX supports FPM memory with a maximum capacity of 8 GB and ECC memory. It features PCIe 2.0. The south bridge options include SIO.A for ISA or PCEB/ESC for EISA. The chipset was discontinued on December 31, 2016.
