The Intel 82PM45 is a mobile chipset introduced in July 2008 as part of the Cantiga platform. It is designed for Socket P and manufactured on a 65 nm process with a TDP of 7 W. The chipset supports DDR2 memory at 667/800 MHz and DDR3 memory at 800/1066 MHz, with a maximum capacity of 8 GB across two channels. It does not support ECC memory. For expansion, it provides 16 PCIe 1.0 lanes and uses DMI 1.0 for chipset-to-CPU communication. Storage connectivity includes four SATA III ports, and it offers 12 USB 2.0 ports. The 82PM45 succeeds the Intel PM965 and was succeeded by the Intel PM55.
