The Intel BD82PM55 is a mobile chipset part of the Ibex Peak-M platform, designed for first-generation Intel Core i processors. It uses the LGA 1156 socket and is built on a 45 nm process with a TDP of 3.5 W. The chipset supports DDR3 memory with two channels and a maximum capacity of 16 GB, but does not support ECC memory. It provides 6 SATA III ports, 14 USB 2.0 ports, and an integrated MAC for Ethernet. The chipset has 8 PCIe 2.0 lanes and uses DMI 1.0 for connection to the CPU. It does not support Intel Rapid Storage Technology, vPro, CPU overclocking, or memory overclocking. The BD82PM55 was succeeded by the HM55 chipset.
