Storage options include six SATA III ports, and connectivity includes 14 USB 2.0 ports and integrated Ethernet. It supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology, CPU overclocking, and memory overclocking (XMP/EXPO). The chipset does not support Thunderbolt or vPro. It succeeded the X58 and was succeeded by the X99.
