Intel ICH10

The Intel ICH10 is a southbridge chipset part of the Intel 4 Series chipset family, introduced in 2008. It serves as the I/O controller hub, managing data flow between the CPU and peripheral devices. The chipset features six SATA III ports for storage connectivity and twelve USB 2.0 ports for peripherals. With a thermal design power (TDP) of 4.5 W, it is designed for low power consumption. The ICH10 is typically paired with an Intel 4 Series northbridge, such as the P45 or G45, to form a complete chipset for desktop motherboards.
