Intel PIIX3

The Intel PIIX3, also known as the 82371SB, is a southbridge chip used in Intel's 4xx series chipsets. It integrates key I/O controllers including two USB 2.0 ports, ATA support for PIO and WDMA modes, and ISA bus support. The chip also features System Management Mode (SMM) for power management. It is typically paired with Intel's northbridge chips like the 430HX or 430VX to form a complete chipset for Pentium-class motherboards.
