The Intel QM480 is a mobile chipset designed for Comet Lake processors, released in April 2020. It uses a BGA 1528 socket and is built on a 14 nm process with a TDP of 3 W. The chipset provides 20 PCIe 3.0 lanes and supports DDR4-2933 memory up to 128 GB across two channels, without ECC support. It includes four SATA III ports, six USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, ten USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and fourteen USB 2.0 ports. The QM480 integrates an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 adapter and Bluetooth 5.1, along with an integrated MAC for Ethernet. It supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology and vPro, but does not support CPU overclocking. Memory overclocking via XMP is supported. This chipset is intended for use with Comet Lake mobile processors.
