The X670E is a chipset for AMD Socket AM5 platforms, released on September 27, 2022. It is built on a 14 nm process and has a TDP of 14 W. The chipset provides 12 PCIe 5.0 lanes, 8 SATA III ports, and a DMI 4.0 interface to the CPU. It supports up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory across two channels, with ECC support and memory overclocking via XMP/EXPO. The X670E offers extensive USB connectivity: 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports, 12 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and 12 USB 2.0 ports. It does not include USB4 or Thunderbolt. Integrated Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are optional. The chipset supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX form factors. It is the successor to the X570 and was succeeded by the X870E.
