It is built on the Ampere architecture using an 8 nm process node and features the GA104-400 GPU chip. The card includes 6144 shading units, 48 ray tracing cores, and 192 tensor/AI cores, with base and boost clocks of 1580 MHz and 1770 MHz respectively. It comes with 8 GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus, providing a memory bandwidth of 608 GB/s. The board power (TDP) is 290 W, and it uses a PCI Express 4.0 bus interface. The launch MSRP was 599 USD. It succeeds the GeForce RTX 20 series and was succeeded by the GeForce RTX 40 series.
