The Asus ROG Maximus XI Extreme is an EATX motherboard for Intel LGA 1151 CPUs, released in 2018 with the Z390 chipset.

The Asus ROG Maximus XI Extreme is a high-end motherboard based on the Intel Z390 chipset, designed for LGA 1151 processors. It features an EATX form factor and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory across four slots in dual-channel configuration. The board offers extensive expansion options: two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (operating at x16 or x8/x8), one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (max x4), and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. Storage is provided by four M.2 slots and six SATA ports. Rear I/O includes six USB 3.1 Gen 1 and four USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports (three Type-A, one Type-C). Networking is handled by an Aquantia 5G LAN controller and an Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet, along with Intel Wireless-AC 9560 Wi-Fi supporting 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and MU-MIMO. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC1220 codec. The motherboard is intended for use with Intel Core processors (8th and 9th Gen) compatible with the LGA 1151 socket.
