The ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA is a high-end ATX motherboard based on the Intel Z490 chipset, designed for LGA 1200 CPUs. It features four DDR4 memory slots supporting up to 128 GB in dual-channel configuration. Expansion includes two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x16 or dual x8), one PCIe 3.0 x16 (x4 mode), and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. Storage options include three M.2 slots and six SATA ports. Rear USB connectivity offers four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (three Type-A and one Type-C), six USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. Networking is provided by dual Ethernet: an Intel I225-V 2.5Gb and a Marvell AQtion AQC107 10Gb controller, along with Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201. Audio is handled by the ROG SupremeFX S1220 codec.
