The Intel Core i7-6800K is a high-end desktop processor part of the Broadwell-E family, launched on May 30, 2016. It features 6 cores and 12 threads with base and boost clock speeds of 3.4 GHz and 3.6 GHz respectively. The CPU includes 15 MB of L3 cache and is built on a 14 nm process node with a TDP of 140 W. It supports DDR4 memory at 2400/2133 MHz across four memory channels, but does not support ECC memory. The processor has no integrated graphics and requires a discrete GPU. It uses the FCLGA2011 socket and provides 28 PCIe 3.0 lanes. The unlocked multiplier allows for overclocking. The launch MSRP was 434 USD.
