The Intel W680 is a chipset released in January 2022 for LGA 1700 desktop platforms. It has a TDP of 6 W and supports both DDR4 and DDR5 memory with ECC memory support. The chipset provides 28 PCIe lanes (PCIe 4.0 and 3.0) and a DMI 4.0 interface to the CPU. It includes 8 SATA III ports, 4 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports, 10 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, 10 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and 14 USB 2.0 ports. It features an integrated MAC for Ethernet and integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211. It supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology and vPro, but does not allow CPU overclocking. Memory overclocking via XMP/EXPO is supported. The launch MSRP was $56.
