The Intel Core i9-12900KF is a high-end desktop processor from Intel's 12th generation Alder Lake family, launched in November 2021. It utilizes a hybrid architecture with 8 performance cores (P-cores) and 8 efficiency cores (E-cores), totaling 16 cores and 24 threads. The P-cores have a base clock of 3.2 GHz and a boost clock of 5.2 GHz, while the E-cores operate at lower frequencies. The processor includes 14 MB of L2 cache and 30 MB of L3 cache. It is manufactured on Intel's 7 nm process node. The TDP is 125 W base power, with a maximum turbo power of 241 W. It supports up to DDR5-4800 or DDR4-3200 memory across two channels, without ECC support. The CPU provides 20 PCIe lanes, supporting PCIe 5.0 and 4.0. It features an unlocked multiplier for overclocking. The KF variant lacks integrated graphics. Compatible with the FCLGA1700 socket, it works with Intel 600-series chipsets.
