The Intel Atom x5 Z8500 is a low-power processor released in March 2015, part of the Atom family. It features four Airmont cores with a base clock of 1.44 GHz and a boost clock of 2.24 GHz. The processor has a 2 MB L2 cache and a TDP of just 2 W, making it suitable for fanless designs. It supports up to LPDDR3-1600 memory across two channels. Integrated graphics are provided by Intel HD Graphics. The CPU uses the UTFCBGA1380 socket and offers 2 PCIe 2.0 lanes. It was discontinued in June 2022.
